There are a lot of
questions you may have about whether you need to talk with a licensed
mental health clinician. Please contact the office if you have other

Q:
What are the benefits of psychotherapy?
A: Different people benefit in different ways. Clients report
a variety of ways in which therapy has been beneficial:
- Gaining insight
into the feelings which are upsetting or causing changes in behavior.
- Beginning and augmenting
the healing process for a painful experience.
- Relieving emotional
distress.
- Improving the quality
of life and productivity of daily functioning.
- Enhancing personal
growth by making an investment in the development of the self,
similar to getting an education.

What are some symptoms that may indicate I could benefit from making
an appointment?
A: Consider
calling for an appointment if you experience any of these symptoms:

Q:
Some people say it's good to talk with a professional when there
are particular life circumstances. What are those circumstances?
A: It may be
helpful to talk with someone if you have experienced the following
circumstances:
- Family conflict
- A family member
who has been treated or should be treated
- A trauma, such as
any form of assault or abuse, or remembering such an event
- A recent loss such
as the death of a loved one, unemployment, relocation of your
home, financial problem, difficult relationship, chronic illness
- A major change in
your life pattern. Such changes may be joyous or stressful such
as getting married, having a baby, getting a new job or a promotion

How much does it cost?
A: Please call
the office for a current fee schedule. Fees are due in full when
services are rendered. For your convenience, payment may be made
in several forms: cash, personal check, money order, cashier's check,
Visa, or Master Card. If you have health insurance you would like
to file for reimbursement, please bring your insurance card with
you at the first session. We have an Insurance Release Form you
will need to complete and sign. As a courtesy, we will provide to
you a completed health claim form when payment is made in full.
You mail the form, and your insurance company will send to you whatever
reimbursement is due to you.

What are your office hours?
A: The Office
Manager is Shelli McInnis and she is available 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.,
Monday through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays. Each clinician's
office hours are by appointment. Appointments may be made by calling
Victoria during the hours listed above.
